Julie Johnston
Some of Julie's earliest memories are of being cradled in the saddle as a baby in front of her older sister. Julie began her hunter/jumper show career on the A Circuit more than 30 years ago and competed very successfully in both the hunter and jumper rings in Western Canada and the U.S. She has been developing young horses and coaching riders both in and out of the ring since the 1980's. Greatest Influences: George Morris - my first trainer gave me George's book and it was the bible from that moment on. Most Admired: Mac Cone - The consummate professional. Mclain Ward - It doesn't matter how big the fence is, he never loses his position! Lu Thomas - Flawless hunter technique. Linda Allen - the most "hunter-perfect" Open Jumper rounds I've ever seen. |
